Ichigo Kurosaki — Substitute Soul Reaper, official character artwork

Ichigo Kurosaki

Substitute Soul Reaper

Damage · Combo

Published kit facts

  • His skill grants a 40% Attack increase for 10 counts.
  • The final Innate Ability raises Attack by 6.5% per Arts 1 hit, stacking up to four times.
  • The final ability also reduces Mortal Blow cooldown by four counts.

The trade-off

The strongest quoted stack and cooldown effects belong to the final ability. Do not assume a fresh copy has the same output.

Grimmjow Jeagerjaques

Espada Number 6

Damage · Clash

Published kit facts

  • His skill raises both Attack and Defense by 15% for 10 counts.
  • The final Innate Ability grants 23% additional Attack while affected by a status ailment.
  • An immobilizing ailment also activates an 8% Arts 1 damage bonus in the final ability.

The trade-off

Being afflicted is a cost as well as a trigger. Never assume intentionally taking an immobilizing effect improves total damage or survival.

This comparison presents kit differences, not normalized damage scores. Published final-ability effects are labeled in the facts. A different investment level or encounter may reverse a preference.

How should you compare Mirrors High characters?

Begin with the decision you need to make: replacing an attacker, finding a partner, or solving a survival problem. Select one character in each menu. Read the exact variant and published effects before comparing their editorial roles. The two columns update immediately; both characters use the same source records as the archive and team builder.

Ichigo or Toshiro: which damage plan fits?

Consider this comparison as an example. Ichigo builds his plan around Arts 1 hits. Toshiro gives you a reason to investigate critical support. A player who already has Rangiku should examine whether her critical bonuses overlap Toshiro’s active window. Someone looking for a direct stacking loop might investigate Ichigo first. These are different team hypotheses, not a measured verdict that one always deals more damage.

Keep the ability stage visible. A final-stage effect is not evidence that your newly acquired copy has the same property. Check your current game screen before making the comparison actionable. If one character is much more developed on your account, the theoretical kit comparison may be less important than the resources needed to bring the alternative to a usable level.

Rukia or Orihime: support and survival are different jobs

A single tier letter does not answer whether your team needs offensive support or protection. Rukia’s conditional team contribution asks you to check ailments and activation order. Orihime asks a different question: does reducing incoming pressure help your team finish? A failed encounter cannot be evaluated only by the biggest damage number achieved before the failure.

Which conditions can reverse your preference?

Poison resistance matters for Mayuri’s extra reduction. Bleed availability matters for Byakuya’s follow-up. A reliable counter opportunity matters for Renji. Read the drawback beside the headline effect and decide whether your target encounter allows that condition. If the answer is unknown, record it as a test question instead of treating it as permanently active.

How do you turn the comparison into a squad?

Open the team builder after choosing a candidate. Fill three distinct slots and inspect the role coverage. The tool offers free and unlimited drafts at $0, without sign-up. Save up to 3 local presets or export JSON and TXT notes with no watermark. Preferences stay in your browser. A shared squad link contains character IDs rather than your private notes.

What does this comparison leave out?

It does not normalize equipment, ability levels, player execution or enemy resistance. There is no hidden damage simulator, community vote or live leaderboard. The official introductions are the evidence for kit statements; the editorial method explains our provisional interpretation. Use the individual source links above when checking a disputed value.

Compare Mirrors High characters: FAQ

Is this character comparison free?

Yes. Compare any two of the 13 covered characters without sign-up, a subscription or a usage limit. The page runs in your browser and does not connect to your game account.

Why does the same character have different names in another guide?

Match the exact variant shown beneath the character name. A different version, translation or ability stage can make a same-name comparison misleading. This archive retains the variant from its official introduction.

Does an S character always beat an A character?

No. These letters summarize a provisional early-progression reading. They do not measure a duel, PvP win rate, clear time or damage at equal investment.

Can I compare the initial and final ability stages?

The facts explicitly identify final-stage effects where relevant. This page does not provide a complete upgrade tree or calculate intermediate levels. Check your unlocked ability text in game.

Can I save the result?

Save the candidate characters with the star button on their guide pages. For a more detailed decision, create a named squad in the team builder and record your reasoning in its notes, then export TXT or JSON.

Where do the numbers come from?

Each column links to its official Bandai Namco character introduction. These published previews are subject to change and are not independent launch-build test results.
